Our Insanity Asylum Review Reveals If This Intense Conditioning Workout Provides Insane Results

insanity asylumI knew I had to check into the highly anticipated sequel, Insanity Asylum, after realizing how popular my reviews became for Insanity and Insanity Fast and Furious. Celebrity trainer Shaun T has created the ultimate sports training workout designed not only for athletes, but also for men and women who want to significantly transform their bodies.

Whether you are an Insanity graduate or not, you can still participate in this intense training program. I have to warn you that while the exercises are not difficult, the routines are extremely challenging and fierce. Therefore, beginners may have to complete this program more than once to perform the routines properly in order to achieve optimal results. However, those at a more advanced level of fitness can expect to dig deeper and push past their limits for that ripped, shredded, leaned body.

  • 6 Workouts
  • Agility Ladder
  • Speed Rope
  • Workout Schedule
  • 2 Bonus DVDs

**Note – You will need dumbbells and/or resistance bands to perform the strength exercises. These are not included in the package.

Program Details

This cardio conditioning workout program covers all of the bases. It comes complete with the workouts, schedule, and nutrition guide. It is a 30 day program designed to build long, lean muscle, enhance endurance, and increase speed and power. After completing the sports training drills and exercises, you will run faster, jump higher, punch harder, etc. improving performance at all levels and preparing you for any sport.

Check out this intense Insanity Asylum Video I found on the BeachBody Youtube Channel, wow!

  1. Relief (25 minutes) – This one is designed to help you recover from the more intense routines. You will be doing a lot of different types of stretches from head to toe to improve overall flexibility. It will prepare your body for the upcoming intense schedule.
  1. Speed & Agility (45 minutes) – The agility ladder is introduced in this fast paced cardio exercise program. There are approximately five one-minute drills performed plus moves for the agility ladder that challenge you with each one.
  1. Vertical Plyo (40 minutes) – The speed rope is introduced. You will also be using resistance bands and the agility ladder. This is an extremely challenging routine that will definitely help you jump higher than ever before! The main part of the workout consists of 15 plyometrics exercises that last approximately 1 minute each. Some of these include power jumps, push ups, kicks, and low stance jacks.
  1. Strength (50 minutes) – This is a unique strength training routine complete with complex moves that target biceps, triceps, quads, shoulders, hamstrings, and chest. Expect to perform a combination of movements with each repetition. It is recommended to use light weights due to the complexity of the routine.
  1. Back to Core (25 minutes) – This workout focuses on body control targeting your shoulder blades, lower back, and trapezius muscle. The trapezius muscle (traps) runs along your upper back through your shoulders and up the sides of your neck. Working these areas can strengthen your entire core.
  1. Game Day (60 minutes) – While this is the longest one, it is also the most interesting. Don’t get me wrong, it is also still extremely challenging. However, you will be incorporating actual sports into the program. The sports included are track, basketball, wrestling, soccer, tennis, ice skating, swimming, football, rock climbing, and baseball.

Bonus DVDs

  • Athletic Performance Assessment (25 minutes)
  • Overtime (15 minutes)

Nutrition Guide

The nutrition guide provides simple steps and effective advice for healthy eating. It also provides meals that are designed to fuel your body during the intense workout schedule you will be performing. Expect to eliminate dairy from your diet and limit starches to early in the day. Carbs will not be allowed at dinner.

The plan starts off with higher calorie meals and slowly decreases in calories over time. One of the biggest complaints is the preparation of the meals; however, it appears that many people feel they can deal with it for 30 days.

Final Thoughts

Insanity Asylum will prepare you for any sport and will definitely burn fat for weight loss, transform your body, and improve your overall health. Although it is extremely intense, I think if I had to choose at this point in time between Insanity and Asylum, I would consider Asylum mainly because it is only 30 days as opposed to 60 days.

I like that the package comes with the agility ladder and jump rope. I realize you have to purchase resistance bands and/or dumbbells; however, these items can be inexpensive. I really like the fact that Shaun T is known for his motivation. This is definitely something I need, especially when I think I can’t go any further. Sometimes it only takes a few inspiring words to keep you on track.

This intense program costs $89.85 plus $14.95 s&h. There is a payment option of three monthly payments of $29.95 plus $14.95 s&h. At this point in time, Beachbody is offering a free upgrade from standard shipping to express shipping meaning you can receive your package in 3 to 5 business days.

Please contact a doctor before attempting this or any new fitness program. If you are ready to work hard every single day for 30 days to achieve your fitness goals, then I have no doubt that Insanity Asylum will help you meet those goals.

Just remember to keep moving, even if you find the movements difficult. It may be a little intimidating if you are a beginner, but just remember to do your best and always push past any limitations you have set for yourself. Eventually, you will be a pro and will see ultimate results.
