This is a book that will have you breaking down barriers and making permanent lifestyle changes in just 30 days. It is a 30 day system that is designed to help you get your priorities in line, change bad habits, and set productive goals that will result in permanent and positive changes.

You will also learn how to manage your time, how to speak publicly, balance your work and family, and increase your confidence level. Creating new habits takes discipline, which is one of the leading causes for failure. You will be given daily steps to take that will require discipline and once you overcome the discipline barrier, you will see results.

Chalene teaches you to set goals. This is a very important aspect in the book. You will not only learn how to set general goals, but you will learn how to set a PUSH goal. A PUSH goal is a huge yearly goal. You will be expected to set 10 goals and identify one as being your PUSH goal.

Once you set your PUSH goal, you will then learn reverse engineering of your PUSH goal. Basically, this means you will break your PUSH goal down into mini-steps on how you intend on achieving this goal. When she says mini-steps, she means every single little task you need to do to accomplish this goal.

Something else you will be introduced to is getting rid of the clutter in your life. Clutter can be described as anything that gets in the way of your dream life. This could be junk food that tempts you while trying to lose weight or taking on too much extra work that will take you away from the tasks necessary for achieving your ultimate career goals. In this book, you will learn how to become accountable for the goals you set.

She includes 30 easy to prepare recipes, as well as a workout. Her book goes beyond the physical aspect giving you the tools you need to push yourself to put in that DVD, join a class, or get up on that stationery bike. Living a healthy life is critical to a happy life.

Bottom Line

Chalene Johnson is highly respected in just about everything she has accomplished in her life. However, there are conflicting reviews on this particular book. Many have complained that there are too many pictures of her throughout the book that do not provide any informational value and that there is a lot of fluff.

On the other hand, the book will get you thinking about your life and some of the tips are definitely important. The concepts of goal setting, getting rid of clutter, working out, and eating healthy are important and can definitely give you the “push” you need for living a happy, balanced, and healthy life . The book is not expensive; therefore, it may be worth purchasing to see if there is anything in it that can change your life.
